Studio Code of Conduct

The Dance Factory is committed to maintaining a respectful, secure, and enjoyable atmosphere for all dancers, instructors, class assistants, staff, and studio visitors. To ensure this, we reserve the right to take the necessary action to limit or withdrawal service to any individual whose behavior, presence, or actions disrupt the space, compromise safety, or disregard the code of conduct.

To guarantee these commitments and provide the best possible experience for everyone, we’re sharing the code of conduct guidelines below. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Communication with Instructors or Staff: Parents/Guardians/Guests — If you need to speak with an instructor or staff member, please send us an e-mail at dancefactory1@gmail.com.  We ask that all communications with our studio, including the instructors, are directed to this email to ensure you receive an accurate, timely response. Due to tight class schedules, our instructors are unable to address questions between classes.
    • To schedule a private lesson with one of our instructors, please e-mail us at dancefactory1@gmail.com.
  • All dancers should be friendly, welcoming, and encouraging to the other dancers at the studio and in their classes. We invite dancers to build new friendships with their peers while fostering teamwork and fairness in every class.
  • Respect and kindness are expected—bullying will never be tolerated. As members of The Dance Factory family, dancers are expected to treat peers, instructors, and class assistants with consideration and inclusivity. Please refrain from actions and behaviors that may disrupt or adversely impact the learning environment. This includes any physical, verbal, or written behavior—whether in person or online—that negatively affects another dancer.
  • The kindness and respect you extend to others are just as important for yourself! We encourage all dancers to practice the same care, consideration, and support toward their own well-being as they do for those around them.
  • We kindly ask that all dancers follow the studio dress code. This includes hair, shoes, and attire. Class attire and shoe requirements for each class can be found on the website’s Class Attire page.
  • All dancers observing a class while it is in progress, whether out of interest or due to sickness or injury, are expected to be quiet and courteous to the dancers, instructors, and assistants.
  • Dancers are asked to neatly store their belongings in the studio and waiting room spaces.
  • All dancers, parents/guardians, and studio guests are expected to demonstrate regard for everyone at the studio.  This includes treating the studios, the premises, and the possessions of others with consideration. While at the studio, please be mindful that you are in a shared space.
  • Please do not bring drinks, food, gum or candy in the studios or waiting rooms except during special programs. Water bottles are permitted.
  • All visitors are expected to clean up after themselves and any mess that they create during their time at the studio.
  • It is important to us to maintain a clean and healthy space for everyone who visits our studio, and we ask that you help us with this. Dancers who are sick should not attend in-person classes. Dancers are welcome to make up a missed class in any comparable class – please contact us if you need a recommendation for a make-up class.
  • Communication with Instructors or Staff: Parents/Guardians/Guests — If you need to speak with an instructor or staff member, please send us an e-mail at dancefactory1@gmail.com.  We ask that all communications are directed to this email to ensure you receive an accurate, timely response. Due to tight class schedules, our instructors are unable to address questions between classes.

We appreciate all of our amazing dance families who join us in upholding our promises and studio values. If you witness behavior that does not align with our Code of Conduct, or if you have any concerns that are affecting your experience at our studio, please do not hesitate to reach out to us (dancefactory1@gmail.com).

Thank you for helping us achieve a safe and supportive environment for the entire Dance Factory community!
